JOB OVERVIEW / OBJECTIVE
The business manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and human resource operations for all campuses within the Grace Bible Church network under the direction and leadership of the Executive Pastor.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and verify the financial budgets align with the church's vision, values, and annual goals.
- Serve as the primary driver for coordinating and getting approval on all church budgets in cooperation with the Executive Pastor
- Manage the church's funds to assure fiscal responsibility and provide timely information and financial recommendations.
- Manage all cash flow/liquidity needs and forecasting.
- Achieve and maintain ECFA accreditation.
- Oversee general accounting process by delegating tasks to appropriate staff and/or third-party services.
- Oversee payroll processing.
- Oversee benevolence team.
- Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
- Account for and manage the day-to-day finances of the church while coordinating the maintenance of all accounts, ledgers, balance sheets, income, and disbursements.
- Coordinate all facility payments, building leases, and rental contracts.
- Establish, manage, and maintain a legacy giving program that supports biblical stewardship through planned, future giving.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of all financial reporting materials.
- Coordinate with appropriate services to ensure proper filings for legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
- Oversee preparation of financial reports to include but not limited to:
- IRS, auditor, or other accountability reports
- Monthly financial reports for ministry leaders and staff
- Quarterly and annual financial reports for elders
- Quarterly giving reports to contributors
- Coordinate and prepare yearly budget in cooperation with Executive Pastor
- Provide on-going budget management support to staff and ministry leaders
- Manage personnel, property, casualty, and worker’s compensation insurance policies
- Oversee employee on-boarding process including maintenance of personnel files
- Oversee employee benefits programs including health insurance and pension
- Oversee volunteer offering counter teams including training and development of leaders and volunteers
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all giving, payroll, and other financial data
- Attend all scheduled meetings with Executive Pastor, staff and others as needed

- Maintains annual Ministry Partner agreement
- Remain up to date on all activities and ministries going on at Grace to disseminate general information when needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business related field
- 5+ years of experience working in an accounting or business management position
- Proficient with Quickbooks, Excel
