Director of Worship and Discipleship

Summary:

Lead the Worship and Discipleship Ministries of Grace Ann Arbor North, creating worship experiences for church services and discipling people by assimilating them into the church.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

• Participate as primary Worship Leader in church services
• Work with the Location Pastor to plan worship services, including song selection and arrangement, slides, lighting, set design and volunteer scheduling
• Work with the Location Pastor to improve the worship experience, ensuring that Sunday services continue to run smoothly throughout the process of implementing changes
• Lead weekly rehearsals to prepare worship team for Sunday morning services
• Mentor and develop other leaders, musicians, and production team volunteers
• Recruit, audition, onboard, and equip new volunteers to build a strong worship team
• Work with Location Pastor to provide spiritual care and support for team members
• Evaluate and improve assimilation process for people connecting to the church
• Implement workflow for personal follow up using Planning Center Online
• Develop Discipleship Ministry by overseeing Community Groups and Discipleship Circles, coaching current and new leaders and facilitating regular trainings
• Attend and contribute to location and network staff meetings
