Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to guide our congregation in worship through music and spiritual engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of worship practices, the ability to connect with individuals of all ages, and is a committed follower of Jesus Christ. This role is essential in fostering a vibrant worship environment that encourages participation and spiritual growth.
Duties
- Lead/oversee worship services that align with the church's mission, core values, and message.
- Attend Harvest Church services when not serving in assigned role.
- Meet with the Campus Pastor and/or Worship Director to plan and coordinate music and creative elements of services and/or meetings.
- Communicate effectively with church staff, volunteers, and congregation members to coordinate worship elements.
- Recruit worship team through "info meetings" and/or personal recruitment.
- Shepherd, mentor and develop a team of musicians and vocalists, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and theological growth.
- Personal preparation and practice during the week (voice, instrument, flow of set).
- Organize rehearsals (devotional, voice, instrument, flow of set list) for the worship team, ensuring preparedness for services and special events.
- Host monthly, campus specific team meetings
- Commit to team member commitments including 1:1 meetings with campus pastor and quarterly "Culture Check" meetings.
- Disciple and lead team to grow in their love and devotion for Jesus and teach others to lead in tandem with the Holy Spirit.
- Lead worship on Sunday mornings from 7:30am to 12pm (with the exceptions of vacations and/or raised up other "approved" worship leader to lead in their place.)
Experience
- A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a personal and growing relationship with Him.

- Proven experience in leading contemporary worship in a church setting or similar environment.
- Proficient in leading worship with strong vocal ability (instrumental skills preferred, e.g. guitar or keyboard).
- Demonstrated leadership experience, showcasing the ability to lead and rehearse with a worship team including vocalists and instrumentalists.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with diverse audiences including worship team and congregation.
- Experience in planning and coordinating worship services and rehearsals effectively.
- Familiarity with worship tools and software (e.g. Ableton Live, Planning Center, Pro Presenter) and knowledge of playback systems or loops for enhancing worship.
